Corona Virus Shut-Down
For those who don’t know me personally, my name is Robert Moakley and I am the owner of Wisconsin Harley-Davidson. As you are probably all well-aware, Gov. Evers issued a Safer-at-Home order this morning. From press reports as of this writing, it appears this order will be effective by the end of this week, if not before. Wisconsin Harley-Davidson is committed to getting as many of you back on your bikes as quickly as we can because at a time like this, those that know, know this is no time to be without your ride. Wisconsin Harley-Davidson will take the following steps to get our customer’s their bikes.
Service/Winter Storage
- If you have a bike stored with us or in for service, priority by entry date will be given to storage bikes with no or completed service work. Bikes in for service will be treated in the same manner.
- Storage agreements require three-day notice for pick-up and delivery which is obviously unworkable, and usually not strictly enforced. In place of this, Wisconsin Harley-Davidson requires a specific appointment for pick-up only for both storage and service bikes. We will initiate contact with each customer to schedule pick-ups. Scheduling pickups in this manner allows us to better control this process and maximize our capabilities to get you on your bikes.
- If your service or storage bike has an open work order, depending on the stage of the work, Wisconsin Harley-Davidson will make every effort to complete the work and get your bike ready prior to closing. We will retain bikes with open work orders past the normal storage removal deadline and complete the work once we are allowed to return to the dealership. If we are waiting on parts from Harley-Davidson, we will prioritize that work based on the resumption of parts deliveries, entry date and a first-in/first-out process.
- During the shut-down, the dealership will keep a skeleton crew to maintain ideal storage conditions and security for your bikes. Some employees have their bikes onsite here including me. Remaining bikes will be treated as our own.
Sales
- If you purchased a bike from Wisconsin Harley-Davidson over the winter, first of all thank you, we appreciate your business. If your bike is still at the dealership, we will be reaching out to schedule delivery. Again, this will be by appointment so that we may maximize our ability to service all customers.
- If your deal is pending, we will schedule an appointment to finalize your paperwork and deliver your bike. If you wish to ride out after this, please let us know when your appointment is made.
