It's an attainable dream. There aren't any rules about who can get on a Harley™ Motorcycle. You can learn the skillls, build the confidence, and discover the feeling that all riders know but can't really put into words.

The Harley-Davidson® Riding Academy is the perfect start to attaining that dream; getting your motorcycle license. Wisconsin Harley-Davidson® offers the proven curriculum of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Basic RiderCourse™, plus the additional components provided by Harley-Davidson®. This creates a fun, exciting and exclusive learning experience.

With a newly designed curriculum from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, a 3 - hour online eCourse is required and must be completed from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's website.

  • The cost of the eCourse is $19.99.
  • Visit MSF eCourse Signup to register and/or complete.
  • Completion must be within 30 days prior to your class start date.

Our premier beginner rider course is a combination of classroom time and actual riding that introduces motorcycle basics to riders, all in Harley-Davidson® style.

Our experienced riding academy instructors are specifically trained to create a supportive, interactive learning environment that fosters confidence in all riders.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive the necessary waiver to obtain their Wisconsin (class 'M') motorcycle endorsement, as well as possible motorcycle insurance discounts.

Requirements For Taking The Course Are:

  • The ability to ride a bicycle.
  • A valid automobile driver's license or learner's permit
  • MSF eCourse Certification of Completion
  • Jeans, sturdy over-the-ankle boots or shoes, full-fingered motorcycle gloves, a heavy long-sleeved shirt or jacket and protective eyewear.
  • A helmet that meets DOT requirements
